My steps of the stairs / steps are too high, how do I fix them easily?
I just moved to a house where the stairs were built by the previous owner. I'm not in a position to rebuild completely, but the bands of the new measures are too high. Measures step 10 1 / 2 inches! The rest range from 9 to 10 1 / 2 inches. This makes it very difficult to get on and off without tripping. Is there any easy and inexpensive way to solve this problem? Thanks! Thanks for your answers, I want to clarify that this is a wooden staircase with open bands. There is nothing under the stairs at all.
