Would it be beneficial to use the water in my home aquarium to water my garden window box of herbs?

My logic is that the water pumped is removed because it has no ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. Are these benefits compared to tap water in my small herb garden?

You're absolutely right. In fact, you can even buy fish emulsion fertilizer. When cleaning the bottom of the tank water usage and also doing all works fine algae and other "things" always helps and fertilize.

  2. it is a great reuse of water and you shouldn’t have any problems, you could dilute it with tap water if it has been a long time since you changed any of the aq water, the fish make ‘fertilizer’ that your herbs will like

You’re introducing different bacteria to plants so that might be harmful…
