What Are The Different Divisions Of Vegetable Gardening?

What are the various divisions of horticulture?

Vegetables can be divided into groups by characteristics such as leaf (lettuce), stems (asparagus), roots (carrots), flowers (broccoli), bulbs (garlic), seeds (peas and beans) and botanical fruits, such as cucumbers, pumpkins, squash, and peppers. Another division could be: West Brassica (broccoli), Asian cabbage (bok choy), leaf vegetables and salad (lettuce), fruiting and flowering vegetables (cucumber), pod vegetables (peas), bulb and stem vegetables (asparagus), roots and tubers (carrots) and sea vegetables (sea grape). They can also be divided by frost / cold resistance: Very resistant (lettuce), tolerates frost (carrot), sweet (corn dulce) or hot love (cucumber).
