If you are a gardener, you know it's much more cost-effective to start your own plants from seed to start buying the plant from a garden center. You will able to select seed varieties that most local nurseries do not carry, so your garden will be blessed with much more variety in terms of plant that can grow. However, if you are going to start seeds yourself, you have to remember that all plants depend on three factors for survival: the culture medium and providing nutrients, water and light. If you live in a cold area of the season in the country, then you will have to start the seeds of several weeks before the date last frost in your area. This means you will have to start seeds indoors, and during the late winter and early spring there is not enough natural light available to meet the growing needs of seedlings. The solution is to use a grow light to increase both the amount of light available to plants, and also the type of light. A full spectrum grow light can improve seedling growth, and help you kill young plants strong and healthy ready to be planted in your garden just the right time.

The bulbs emit a color temperature and color tone, and both affect the growth of a plant young. Young plants need the blue light spectrum, while older plants need red spectrum orange /. An incandescent bulb has a red-yellow and gives low color temperature. In contrast, sunlight is blue and has a high color temperature, so for the cultivation of an incandescent bulb is not the best option. A full-spectrum lamp is a good choice for plant propagation because it makes adequate light tones available at all times to better meet the needs of the plant. Fluorescent tubes work well for the spread of the plants because they burn cool. This is important because small seedlings in small flats you need to keep the light about four inches above the seedlings to grow sturdy and strong, not thin and weak, as they are stretched to a light that is located too far away.

Another great option for growing bulbs HID lights. In the light of high intensity discharge produces more light than a halogen bulb, and emits a whiter light that is more similar to the color temperature sunlight, which is what you need for seedling growth. An HID light requires a ballast for controlling high current lamp traveling light.

Enhance plant growth when choosing a full-spectrum light.
