What is the best way to dispose of grass and weeds flower and horticulture?

I know this may take a lot of work, but never just had to eliminate both the multi-scale gardens.

Round up does the trick and can be planted as soon as weeds, etc are dead. Does not affect the land, that you feel safe in their use. Once that is clear, prepare the land properly, without hurry the process. Then will be rewarded with beautiful flowers and vegetables. Just back to our courtyard garden, turning, and even filter the ground to get rid of all the stones, etc. We then built 3 beds closed ground, and planted tomatoes. Herbs go tomorrow and before lettuce. We have beans growing and the plan to have all the backyard of each Once things to eat, or between the beds, beautiful flowers. Just tired of weeds, etc, and have less work to do. We tried the black plastic but became impatient and wanted to start long before the grass had been executed. When I say we, I mean my husband. He emigrated from Holland this year to live in house I own, so he gathered all his charming abilities of the Netherlands. Make sure they know how to grow flowers and vegetables there. Good luck. It makes the whole exercise sorrow. There are no shortcuts.
